What is Remote IO controller?

Remote IO controller can be understood as a switch that can be controlled remotely. i/o is input/output of switch (digital), i is input and o is output.

Remote IO controller can realize the detection of input switch and the control of relay output, for example, the input can access switch, proximity switch, magnetic switch, photoelectric switch and other switch signals. The output can drive solenoid valve, relay and other electrical appliances to work in on/off mode.

Why use remote IO controller?

  1. Save equipment investment

In some industrial applications, it is not possible to install PLC with local I/O modules near the field equipment due to complex environmental factors.

  1. Save cable cost

Wireless replace wired. Using remote IO controller can receive signals from remote sensors and can send control signals to control valves, motors and other final actuators from a distance.

  1. Reduce signal interference

The remote IO controller supports a full range of buses with high compatibility, and uses isolation technology with each channel to improve the long-distance signal interference resistance in projects.

OneFex Ethernet IO controller support local logic processing operation, automatic acquisition active reporting, Modbus RTU/TCP adaptive, automatic calibration threshold reporting, configuration software docking, dry and wet node IO detection and other features, support one-to-one, multi-pair group network, configuration software interface window visualization, to realize the user on-site or remote connection, debugging, configuration equipment. It can be widely used in electric power system, industrial monitoring, traffic management, environmental monitoring, meteorology, water conservancy, coal mining, petroleum, new energy and other industries to provide strong support for the project’s communication networking and wireless transmission.
